About the School Board

The Board of Education serves as the governing body for District #68.  A total of seven members are elected to serve a four-year term.  Board meetings are usually held on the last Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise posted) at Oak Grove School.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings.  If you are interested in becoming a Board of Education member, please contact the county clerk's office (Click Here for more information).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a public hearing on the Oak Grove School District #68 tax levy increase will be held at 6:00 pm prior to the December 18, 2023, Board of Education Meeting at Oak Grove School, 6018 W Lancaster Rd, Bartonville, Illinois 61607. Due to an increase in EAV projections, the district will have an 8% operating levy increase. This is greater than the 5% threshold requiring a public hearing on truth in taxation. Anyone wishing to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact Dr. Loren Baele (lbaele@og68.org) at the Oak Grove School District #68 office located at 6018 W.
