It is with great sadness that we inform the Oak Grove community of the passing of Mr. Dave Quinn. Mr. Quinn taught history and social studies at Oak Grove beginning in 1987 until his retirement at the end of the 2021-22 school year. He always had a story and life experiences to share as well as a deep caring for all things Oak Grove. He was well known for his many trips with students to Washington D.C. during summer vacations. Mr. Quinn completed many roles while here at Oak Grove, including coaching track and scholastic bowl, sponsoring speech, and serving as the athletic director as well as the Union President. He will be remembered at a visitation with family on Saturday, March 15th, 2025 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Oak Grove School, 6018 W. Lancaster Dr., Bartonville, IL 61607. His arrangements are being conducted by Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, IL, with his obituary being linked here. Please consider coming and sharing your stories of Mr. Quinn with the family.
